It would be no great controversy to say that BOSS pedals have shaped countless musicians. Nearly every guitarist today has likely crossed paths with a BOSS stompbox. They need no further context - they are classics in every right.
The BOSS SD-1 Super OverDrive has remained relevant for generations, it seems. Its classic asymmetrical clipping circuit and tube-like tone quality still make it a popular overdrive for any player. Its timeless overdriven tone has not fallen out of style even after all these years. Today, BOSS celebrates forty years of their iconic little yellow box with this limited edition release. A limited version that is available throughout 2021, this SD-1 has all the classic tones we've come to know and love. The mid-boost, tube-like warmth, and versatile tonal capabilities you expect from the SD-1 are all here in sleek black casing to celebrate this momentous occasion.
1981 was a big year for overdrive. With forty years of worldwide fame to its name, the SD-1 continues on with an awesome legacy that only grows greater with each passing day. It's an overdrive for everyone, and in its fortieth year, it shows no sign of slowing down.
